About The Card

A Go Pass keycard is issued to every volunteer who applies for a Go Pass, at the time they are fingerprinted. The volunteer's unique Go Pass ID number is on the back of the card.

Possession of a Go Pass keycard is not proof of eligibility.

You must look up the card number in the Go Pass system to verify the identity of the volunteer by name and photo, and check the volunteer's current eligibility for Go Pass service.

When To Check A Volunteer's Go Pass

Look up the volunteer's ID number in the Go Pass System to:

  1. Verify the volunteer's identity.
  2. Confirm that the volunteer is eligible to work with vulnerable populations.

At the very least, you need to check a volunteer's Go Pass when they begin active service, and any time they go from being inactive to active in Go Pass System.

While a volunteer is active and working on an active project in Go Pass System, you will get an alert if the volunteer's eligibility changes. But there is a risk that a volunteer could be marked inactive in the system, or that delivery of an alert could be delayed.

You are encouraged to check a volunteer's Go Pass on a regular basis.
