Once you have your printed Referral Form (see Applying Online), you will need to be photographed and fingerprinted, in person, by a Department of Education technician.
You will need to bring the following items:
* On some computers the referral form may not print. This is okay. As long as you have submitted the required forms online, you do not need to bring printed copies with you.
Fingerprinting takes place at the Department of Education's HR Connect office in the lobby of 65 Court St., Brooklyn.
The office is near Brooklyn Borough Hall, which is served by the A, C, F, R, 2, 3, 4, and 5 trains, and many buses.
Hours are 8:30 am - 4:30 pm, Monday through Friday. The office is closed on City holidays.
No appointment is necessary.
For large groups of volunteers, a Go Pass Member Organization may arrange an on-site fingerprinting session using the Department of Education's Mobile Unit.
If you are unable to attend the Mobile Unit session, you must go to 65 Court St. to be fingerprinted any time during office hours.
At the end of the fingerprinting process you will receive a Go Pass card with a unique ID number on the back.
Do not share this card with anyone else; it is for your personal use only.
Do not use it until you are notified that you are eligible for Go Pass.
